Chair – Dion Evans
Hello! I’m Dion Evans the Chair of Red Dragon Archers, I first became a member with my brother in 2012 after watching the Archery round of the Olympics, since joining the club I have attended numerous competitions and won various medals. In 2019 I volunteered at the British Transplant Games helping run the Archery section.
Secretary & Level 2 Coach – John Roberts
HELLO, Im John Roberts the club secretary. I first started archery in 2012 and joined Red Dragon Archers as a level 2 coach in 2017. Allowing people to have a go at archery and watching beginners succeed is the best part of coaching.
Treasurer & Level 2 Coach – Bethan Hughes
HELLO! I’m Bethan Hughes the Treasurer for Red Dragon Archers. I have been a member of RDA since the club was first founded in 2011 by my father, over the years I have had the privilege of teaching many, in 2013 I first qualified as a level 1 coach and have since progressed to qualifying as a level 2 coach. My aim is to qualify as a level 3/ County Coach in the next few years. I have been the Club treasurer since September 2018 leaving me with 2 years left on my term.
Head Coach Level 2 – Ian Hughes
HELLO, I’m Ian Hughes one of the original founding members who built Red Dragon Archers from the ground up to the glowing success it is today. I have had the pleasure of holding various roles over the years from secretary to equipment officer. My current role is Head Coach trying to organise coaching and coaches, a bit like trying to herd sheep most of the time. I am also a level 2 qualified coach and thoroughly enjoy watching people succeed. as the master of the armoury and head carpenter, its my job to make some of our equipment such as bow stands, ground quivers and target stands , they’ve not fallen down yet!
Child Protection, Records Officer & Level 1 coach – Sally Wagstaff
Hello, Sally Wagstaff here, the clubs Records officer, Child Protection officer and level 1 coach. I first joined the club in 2018 and qualified as a level 1 coach in 2019. I love being the ‘mother’ of the club.
Equipment Officer & Level 2 coach – Paula Noon
A member since 2017, in that time has attended several local competitions. Over the last 3 years has progressed through both level 1 and level 2 coaching courses and helps out at NWAS academies held on a monthly basis. I currently hold the position of Equipment Officer, always looking for ways to improve experiences both in and out of club when at Caernarfon Castle doing have a go’s.
Events Officer – Tecwyn Evans
Hello, Tecwyn Evans here, I joined the club in 2012 after popPing in to collect my 2 boys. In 2014 I got the opportunity to take part in the European Archery Festival, lets just say the competition was incredible. I was then offered the role of club chair and have since gained the Events organiser role which is a fabulous way to develop the knowledge of archery in and around the local community.
Level 2 Coach – James Faben
