Chair / Session Coach – Dion Evans


HELLO! I’m Dion Evans the Chair of Red Dragon Archers, I first became a member with my brother in 2012 after watching the Archery round of the Olympics, since joining the club I have attended numerous competitions and won various medals. In 2019 I volunteered at the British Transplant Games helping run the Archery section.

Treasurer & Development Coach – Bethan Hughes


HELLO! I’m Bethan Hughes the Treasurer for Red Dragon Archers. I have been a member of RDA since the club was first founded in 2011 by my father, over the years I have had the privilege of teaching many, in 2013 I first qualified as a level 1 coach and have since progressed to qualifying as a level 2 coach. My aim is to qualify as a level 3/ County Coach in the next few years. I have been the Club treasurer since September 2018 leaving me with 2 years left on my term.

Secretary / Session Coach – Rhian Hughes


HELLO! My name is Rhian and I’ve recently re-joined Red Dragon Archers after a lengthy ‘maternity’ leave! I’ll be taking the reins with all things admin within my new role as Club Secretary. I’m a clerical officer in my day to day job and am looking forwards to using these skill to help the Club.



Head Coach / Development Coach – Ian Hughes


HELLO, I’m Ian Hughes one of the original founding members who built Red Dragon Archers from the ground up to the glowing success it is today. I have had the pleasure of holding various roles over the years from secretary to equipment officer. My current role is  Head Coach trying to organise coaching and coaches, a bit like trying to herd sheep most of the time. I am also a level 2 qualified coach and thoroughly enjoy watching people succeed. as the master of the armoury and head carpenter, its my job to make some of our equipment such as bow stands, ground quivers and target stands , they’ve not fallen down yet!

Safeguarding Officer & Session Coach – Bob Jones


HELLO! Bob Jones here, the club Safeguarding Officer and level 1 coach. I first joined the club in 2019 and qualified as a level 1 coach in 2022. Being able to help keep our club members safe is a priority of mine. 

Digital / Records Officer – Ben Corey-Nuttall


HELLO! Names Ben. I joined the club after completing my beginners course in 2022. My goal is to impove every digital aspect for the club and to keep records of every members best scores for the leaderboards.

Events Officer – Tecwyn Evans


HELLO! Tecwyn Evans here, I joined the club in 2012 after popping in to collect my 2 boys. In 2014 I got the opportunity to take part in the European Archery Festival, lets just say the competition was incredible. I was then offered the role of club chair and have since gained the Events organiser role which is a fabulous way to develop the knowledge of archery in and around the local community.

Development Coach – James Faben


HELLO! I’m James Faben and I have been a coach for over 15 years and i’m still loving every minute. I have been the Welsh Indoor Champion and NWAS Indoor Champion 5 times, and the Regional Coaching Organiser for 4 years making sure there are loads of incredible coaches like my self around.
